The Perfect Customized Fit: Kitchen Cabinets, Closets, and More with Muretti

Custom Kitchen Cabinets

You know that moment when you find a brand that just “gets it”? That’s how I felt when I discovered Muretti. It was a bit of a happy accident, like when you’re walking through New York and randomly find a coffee shop that makes you question your loyalty to your usual spot. That’s basically what happened with Muretti, but instead of espresso, it was kitchen cabinets, vanities, and whiskey cabinetry (yes, you read that right—whiskey cabinets).

I’ve worked with some fantastic vendors over the years, but here’s the thing: good design isn’t just about looking pretty. It’s also about keeping the client happy, on time, and, most importantly, on budget. Enter Muretti: A provider of cutting-edge products that can be traditional or contemporary for both residential and multi-unit projects. They are Italian-made, but without the luxury price tags that make me question my life choices every time I look at the bill.

So, let me walk you through a few projects where Muretti really knocked it out of the park.

The North Hills Kitchen

This one’s all about the kitchen. North Hills is a quiet little neighborhood, which means the clients have plenty of time to worry about every detail of their new space. They wanted something big, open, and chic (think social area meets HGTV dream kitchen). After a lot of back-and-forth on design and materials, Muretti came through with two stunning options. We merged them to create a space that perfectly blends function with style.

Now, the great thing about Muretti? They don’t just hand you a design and leave you hanging until the invoice is paid. They tweak and adjust until it’s just right, giving us physical samples (hallelujah!) instead of relying on pictures. The project is moving forward, and I’m 90% sure these clients will name their next child after me. (Okay, maybe 85%.)

The Vanity & Closet Combo

You know those clients who are just…particular? I don’t mean that in a bad way, but this next project involved a couple who wanted nothing less than perfection. They’re in the middle of designing a vanity with two custom closets—because why settle for one when you can have two? Again, Muretti delivered. After showing them some reference images and going over measurements (multiple times, trust me), they created a design that hit the nail on the head. The best part? They provide full measurements and installation details upfront, so I don’t have to field 20 questions from the general contractor.

The Whiskey Cabinet (Because, Why Not?)

This one’s a little more niche, but boy, it’s a fun one. I have a client in Hawaii (of course I do, I’m originally from there), and her husband is a whiskey connoisseur. Naturally, they wanted custom whiskey cabinetry to showcase his prized collection. Muretti, bless them, not only design beautiful kitchen cabinets, but they were able to design a cabinet for whiskey that’s as functional as it is stylish. Every detail, down to the height of the drawers and space for the bottles, was carefully considered. The cabinet drawers pull out so they don’t have to reach behind to grab that expensive bottle of Japanese whiskey hiding in the back. It’s a small touch, but honestly, it’s genius and so appreciated by the client.

Why Muretti is Right for Us

What I also love about Muretti, aside from their flexibility, is how fast they respond. Some vendors make me wait for weeks—sometimes months—just to get a proposal. Muretti? They’re on it. And while their fabrication happens in Italy (it’s serious Italian craftsmanship), the distance isn’t an issue. They keep things moving to make sure everything’s up to spec before shipping over.

I’ve been around the block with high-end custom furniture, and I can say this: Muretti delivers on both substance and style. It’s a rare mix in this business, and I’m holding onto them like a designer holds onto their favorite roll of wallpaper.

So, if you’re thinking about a high-yet, yet affordable custom kitchens, Italian kitchen  cabinets, a dreamy vanity, or even a whiskey cabinet to make your neighbors jealous, let’s talk. (Click to schedule a consultation.) I’ll work with Muretti to make sure every detail is perfect—whether you’re in New York, Hawaii, or somewhere in between. Shoot me a message, and together, we’ll create something beautiful just for you.
